Other Ranks composer and trombonist Paul Taylor is appearing with the Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra in a production of Swinging at the Cotton Club at the Hull Truck Theatre on Thursday 16 February 7.30pm
Take a step back into the 1920s and through the doors of New York's hottest nightclub: The Cotton Club! Featuring the Lindy Hop Dance Company and their orchestra, the show celebrates the spectacular music and dance of this 1920s institution.

Other Ranks composer and jazz trombonist returned to the region in June 2022 to give three different performances, firstly with a six piece band at Hulljazz, a poetry reading for 'Away with Words' and as guest soloist with the JazzMakers Collective for Jazz@The Lairgate in Beverley.
The final scheduled performance of 'Other Ranks' took place on 14 November 2018 at the Hull Truck Theatre Studio, the opening event of that year's Hull Jazz Festival and the nearest date available to the centenary of the Armistice.
